Why I Created Written Within

Written Within grew from my own journey of trying to better understand myself.

For years, I struggled with the effects of trauma, mental health challenges, and an unhealthy relationship with marijuana. Therapy became an important part of my healing, but even as I began doing the work, I was still left with questions.

I could recognize that certain patterns existed, but I didn't always understand why they were there. I wanted to understand myself beyond what had happened to me—why I responded the way I did, why certain things affected me so deeply, and why I often felt misunderstood or like I didn't quite fit.

I've always been drawn to astrology, but during my healing journey, I began looking at it differently. Rather than seeing it simply as a description of personality, I started using it as another lens for self-reflection. It gave me language for parts of myself I hadn't known how to explain and questions I hadn't known to ask.

And something began to shift.

The more I understood myself, the more compassion I could have for myself. I began recognizing my patterns instead of simply judging them. I started separating who I truly was from the things I had experienced, while also understanding how those experiences had shaped me.

That's where Written Within began.

I realized that sometimes the answers we're searching for aren't something another person can simply give us. The answers are already written within us—we just have to be willing to dig a little deeper to uncover them.

Written Within was created to provide some of the questions, reflection, and guidance I once went searching for myself.

My hope is that as you move through these pages, you find more than answers. I hope you find meaning, understanding, compassion for yourself, and the freedom to become more of who you already are.
